The City of Markham is home to some of the world's top talent and businesses across various sectors from semiconductors to autotech and more. Apart from being the filming location for several popular movies and TV shows, our city's diversity also means serious eats and an unparalleled cultural exchange. Not to brag or anything but we boast one of the best culinary scenes the GTA has to offer.

As Markham continues to grow, this also means new and exciting opportunities such as a new city centre, a new innovation district, and new projects for the arts.

Our vision is to go beyond the boring and generic statement of "Live, work, play." because we all know that's the bare minimum.

Instead, our mission is to challenge the "normal" by working together with the community to create a place where we are globally recognized for our diversity, creativity, and innovation. Our commitment to inclusive and sustainable development will be the anchor to our success as we build a place where residents, entrepreneurs, and businesses are able to thrive and proud to call Markham "home".
