Come join us for an information session on youth grant programs from the government! We will be going through the eligibility requirements and process of the Business Plan Competition, Summer Company, Starter Company and Futurpreneur.
Business Plan Competition – open to all high school and post secondary students who live in Markham. An original business plan must be submitted to our centre. Prize structure is as follows:
High school students
First Prize $600
Three Finalists $300 each
Seneca Award of Innovation $200
Post Secondary students
Seneca First Prize $600
Seneca Award of Innovation $200
Summer Company –open to students from 15-29 with grants of up to $3000. An application and business plan must be submitted. Our centre will provide ongoing mentoring and training to help the students with their summer business.
Starter Company- open to entrepreneurs who are out of school and not currently working between the ages of 18-29 with grant funding up to $5000. An application and business plan must be submitted. Our centre will provide ongoing mentoring and training over a period of 6 months (or more).
Futurpreneur - open to entrepreneurs aged 18-39 who are interested in funding and mentoring, or mentoring alone. Loan/debt financing opportunities of up to $45,000 could be available.
Two sessions are available for your convenience: Friday April 17 or Friday April 24 from 4pm-5pm.
