To help Canadian businesses gain a foothold in the Indo-Pacific region, the Honourable Mary Ng will lead a Team Canada Trade Mission to both India and Japan in the fall of 2023. The goal is to open doors to connect Canadian businesses from across the country to new customers and partners.
The details of the trade missions are as follows:
Team Canada Trade Mission to India
Date: October 9-13, 2023
Market: India (Cities to be confirmed)
India is a priority emerging market with great potential for growth and success for Canadian companies of all sizes. Building off strong people-to-people ties, the Government of Canada is putting in place the conditions to facilitate greater commercial ties, including through the negotiation of an Early Progress Trade Agreement.
Team Canada Trade Mission to Japan
Date: October 30-November 3, 2023
Market: Japan (Cities to be confirmed)
As a fellow G7 and like-minded partner, Japan is a strategic partner with which the Government of Canada wishes to deepen existing commercial relations. Canadian companies of all sizes have the opportunity to benefit from greater linkages to the Japanese economy, including through making important contributions to energy security and the transition to a net-zero economy.
Team Canada Trade Missions are open to small, medium and large-sized Canadian companies working in all sectors, including priority sectors like clean technology and clean energy as defined in Canada’s Indo-Pacific Strategy.
These trade missions will provide an excellent opportunity for you to explore new business opportunities, gain insights into business culture and landscape, and establish valuable connections with key government and industry representatives.
You will also have the opportunity to engage with our experienced Trade Commissioners located in-market, as well as with other Canadian firms operating there.
