We’re beyond excited to share that the Markham Small Business Centre, together with our partners Black Entrepreneurship Alliance and YSpace, York University, received the Inclusive Community Based Initiative & Programming Award at last night’s Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) Awards for the Founder Fundamentals Program.
This award recognizes communities or organizations that have implemented initiatives or programs incorporating a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity (DEI) lens to foster economic development.

We were also proud to receive an Honourable Mention in the Business Attraction and Retention category - congratulations to our fellow Honourable Mention recipient IDEA Mississauga, and a big cheer to City of Windsor for taking home the trophy.
